Enterprise is a census-designated place located in Clark County, Nevada. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 14,676.

Geography

Enterprise is located at 36°1'53" North, 115°11'53" West (36.031459, -115.198104)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 125.9 km² (48.6 mi²). 125.9 km² (48.6 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 14,676 people, 5,917 households, and 3,804 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 116.6/km² (301.9/mi²). There are 6,609 housing units at an average density of 52.5/km² (136.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 82.30% White, 3.16% African American, 0.80% Native American, 5.19% Asian, 0.55% Pacific Islander, 4.04% from other races, and 3.96% from two or more races. 12.03% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 5,917 households out of which 25.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.7% are married couples living together, 7.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.7% are non-families. 25.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.47 and the average family size is 2.97.

In the CDP the population is spread out with 20.5% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 28.4% from 45 to 64, and 11.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 104.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 103.5 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP is $50,667, and the median income for a family is $54,841. Males have a median income of $36,971 versus $28,446 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $25,063. 8.6% of the population and 6.6% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 12.1% of those under the age of 18 and 7.2% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
