Saint Epifaniy the Wise (Epifanii, Yepifaniy, Epiphaniy, etc., Епифаний Премудрый) (? - cca. 1420) was a noncanonized Saint, a biographer of early Ruthenian Saints, a disciple of Saint Sergii Radonezhsky.


He travelled over the East, was in Constantinople and Mount Athos monastery compex.


He is the author of The Life of Sergii Radonezhsky, which he started to write in a year after the death of Saint Sergii according to his own memories, as well as of other monks. He finished the writings in 26 years after the death of Sergii, i.e., around 1417-1418. Its manuscripts dated by 15th century are extremely rare. Rewritings by Pachomii Serb (Пахомий Серб) are more readily available.


He died bearing the ranks of a hieromonk and a confessor of the Troitse-Sergiyev monastery.
