Ercan International Airport (IATA: ECN, ICAO: LCEN), or Tymbou in Greek, is the principal airport of entry into the Turkish occupied areas, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Located in the northern sector of the Cypriot capital city of Nicosia (Lefkoşa), it is not internationally recognized as a legal port of entry except by Turkey and Azerbaijan, because by international law, TRNC is not internationally recognized, so an entry there, is considered by Republic of Cyprus as illegal entry in its territory.
