Erdogan Atalay was born to a Turkish family on September 22, 1966 in Hanover, Germany. After making his first appearance as a small actor in "Aladdin and the miracle lamp" at the national theatre of Hanover, he took part in several television series such as Music Groschenweise, Employment for Lohbeck, Double Employment and The Guard. He is currently playing a Turkish main commissioner character Semih Gurkan in a German television series called "Alarm für Cobra 11".
