NSW ends ERG Tcard contract | Australian IT (582 words)
Late last month, The Australian reported that the government's contract with ERG could be revised for a third time after the company revealed that it would miss a deadline to repay its creditor $49.7 million.
ERG and the state government have twice changed the agreement to supply Sydney with Tcard, a contactless smartcard ticketing system.
The government announced 10 years ago it would implement a cashless public transport ticketing system, known as the Tcard, which it had hoped would be in place for the 2000 Olympic Games.
