Eriya Kategaya (born July 4, 1945) is a politician from Uganda. He was born in Kyamate, Ntungamo district, Uganda. He was foreign minister of Uganda from July 1996 until July 2001 and internal affairs minister of Uganda from July 2001 until May 2003. Image File history File links EriyaKategaya. ... Mr. Kategaya is now a strong supporter of the strongest political opposition party Forum for Democratic change(FDC). According to Sunday vision 18th sept 2005, he says that he does not rule out standing for presidency come 2006 elections on the ticket of FDC on request. Meaning that he stands against his chilhood friend mr. Museveni( if he stands again).
