Eriya Kategaya (born July 4, 1945) is a politician from Uganda. He was born in Kyamate, Ntungamo district, Uganda. Mr. Kategaya is now a strong supporter of the strongest political opposition party Forum for Democratic change(FDC). According to Sunday vision 18th sept 2005, he says that he does not rule out standing for presidency come 2006 elections on the ticket of FDC on request. Meaning that he stands against his chilhood friend mr. Museveni( if he stands again).
Kategaya, who was once one of the leaders of Yoweri Museveni's National Resistance Movement, is now a member of Forum for Democratic Change, an opposition party.
