Ermal Island (Portuguese, Ilha do Ermal) is part of one of the most impressive landscapes in Portugal. Situated in the National Park of Peneda-Gerês (Parque Nacional da Peneda Gerês), about 25 km north of Braga, in Vieira do Minho, where horizon cut by green scarps torn by deep valleys, where the rivers run as veins. A famous festival in Portugal takes places in Ermal, it is named "Festival da Ilha do Ermal". Beyond music, this event provides varied activities: rural tourism, climbing, Handle Ski, boat, horse rides, among others.
