Ernest Sosa is currently the Romeo Elton Professor of Natural Theology and Professor of Philosophy at Brown University, Rhode Island and regular visiting professor of philosophy at Rutgers University. He plans to leave Brown and take a full-time position at Rutgers beginning in January, 2007. He is generally considered to be one of the leading contemporary epistemologists, and has also written on modern philosophy and metaphysics. Sosa earned his MA from the University of Miami and his PhD from [Pittsburgh University] where he studied under Roderick Chisolm. His son, David Sosa, is associate professor of Philosophy at the University of Texas, Austin.
