The league currently caters for children aged 8 years old right up to open-age. The league has come a long way since 1930, and to date has established: EDFL Umpires Association, EDFL Trainers Association, EDFL Auskick as well as many other organisations and is now recognised as one of the best amateur leagues in Victoria. The league has two divisions for senior football (Div 1 & 2), and five divisions for junior football (Div 1 - 5). The EDFL is run mainly on a volunteer basis, with very few paid positions.
Senior Games The current senior games are played every Saturday (during the football season). The seniors consist of: Under 18s (at 9.30am), Reserves (at 12.00pm) and Seniors (at 2.15pm). There are two divisions is the senior area, Division 1 and 2.

Juniors The juniors play every Sunday with Under 10's (at 10.00am), Under 12s (at 11.15am), Under 14s (at 12.45pm) and Under 16s (at 2.15pm).
