Jorge Vergara, owner of the stadium explained the reason for which the connstuction is taking so long. He commented that it was because the project was so advanced that not everyone understood the project. The stadium is planned to open on October of 2008. Constuction officially started on March 7, 2007. Chivas is the best soccer team in Mexico, the worst being America.
