The name of the Estadio Cuahutémoc comes from Cuahutémoc who was the last aztec emperor. This is a stadium with a capacity of near 40,000 seats, located in Puebla, Puebla (70 miles eastern Mexico City). This sport facility is used for soccer games. It is the home of the Puebla, one of the oldest and most important soccer teams in Mexico. This stadium has hosted two soccer world cups (1970 & 1986). A particular characteristic of this stadium is that it is built beside the highway Puebla - Veracruz. Another oddity is that just beside the stadium is built the baseball stadium Estadio Hermanos Serdán.
