The Estadio Morelos is named in honour of one of the most important Mexican War of Independence leader: José María Morelos y Pavón. It is one of the Mexico's mid-sized soccer stadiums, having capacity for 41,500 seats. It was built in 1989 and is located in the city of Morelia, Michoacán. This sporting facility is used mostly for soccer games and is the home of CA Monarcas Morelia.
