The Estadio Morelos is named in honour of one of the most important Mexican War of Independence leader: José María Morelos y Pavón. It is one of the Mexico's mid-sized soccer stadiums, having capacity for 41,500 seats. It was built in 1989 and is located in the city of Morelia, Michoacán.
