NationMaster - Encyclopedia: Estadio Tamaulipas

The Estadio Tamaulipas is called in honour of the state that host it. This facility have a capacity of near 25,000 seats and was built in 1966. It is located at the east coast of Mexico in the City of Tampico, Tamaulipas. This sport facility is used mostly for soccer games and was the home of the teams Tampico and Tampico-Madero.
