The nearest star of all, Alpha Centauri 4.4 light-years away, is quite sun-like but has a problem: It is a double star, with a smaller companion sun orbiting it uncomfortably closely.
Eta Cassiopeiae, on the other hand, has 65 percent of the Sun's proportion of heavy elements, probably enough to give it a proper solar system.
Eta Cassiopeiae does vary in brightness by a few percent, but this should not be a killing problem.
