On December 4, 2000, Monday at 8.15 am, a 70 year old Chinese man was run over by an east-bound train travelling at about 40kmh. Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics found the man lying in a foetal position between the tracks. His face and head were covered with blood, his neck was fractured and his hands bruised.
