"Everytime I Die" is a song by melodic death metal band Children of Bodom. The song was recorded for their third album, Follow the Reaper (2000). The song starts with a heavy riff which is actually a single note played in rythmic succession which is followed by trademark sweeps, licks, screeches and harmony pieces. It also features two solos, one each by Alexi Laiho on the lead guitar and Janne Wirman on the keyboards. The song can be considered as the first massive hit by Children of Bodom. This was mainly because of the band's focus on melody and harmony rather than technical virtuosity which is usually demonstrated in Children of Bodom's songs.
