The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Rahr-West Art Museum, Phoenix Museum of Art and Arizona State University Art Museum have purchased Earle's works for their permanent collections. For the past 70 years Earle has also had many successful one-man exhibitions throughout the world.
EyvindEarle has attained critical acclaim from Time Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The New York World Telegram, The Art News, The New York Sun, and many more.
There is a poetry to all of EyvindEarle's ® work whether it is the rolling landscapes of the Santa Ynez Valley, the rugged cliff and seascapes of Northern California, the desert monuments, snow laden trees or his series of barns.
EyvindEarle passed away in July of 2000 at the age of 84.
Earle's parents, having divorced, divided custody of their son and the young artist spent the years between 1927 and 1930 with his father, traveling throughout Europe and Mexico.
Earle went on to act as Disney's production designer, color stylist and background painter on "Sleeping Beauty", "Lady and the Tramp", and short films "Paul Bunyan" "Pigs is Pigs", "London Bridge" and "Working For Peanuts", among other projects.
Earle's middle years became years of great creativity and bigger freedom for the artist, who formed his own animation company in the 1960s, EyvindEarle Productions Inc., a precursor to Joan and EyvindEarle Publishing, a venture with his wife.
