F9F could refer to:

When the Korean war began in 1950, the F9F Panther comprised the vast majority of US Navy carrier based aircraft.
The dash 5 was a formidable ground attack weapon with a capacity of 2,000 lbs (907.20 kg) of bombs and six 5" (12.7 cm) rockets, in addition to four 20 mm cannons mounted in the nose with 200 rounds each.
Civilian pilots seem also to have been fascinated by the F9F, with some still flying as late as 1996.

It was the first Navy jet to shoot down an enemy aircraft, the first Navy jet to shoot down an enemy jet-powered aircraft and the first jet aircraft used by the Blue Angels aerobatic team.
The F9F, although clearly outperformed by the Soviet MiG-15, brought down five of the swept wing enemy fighters.
The F9F it replaced was badly damaged during a landing accident and is now on static display at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.
