FC Obolon Kyiv is a Ukrainian soccer club based in Kyiv, and sponsored by the brewery Obolon CJSC since 1999. Several less important soccer clubs sponsored by that company also have "Obolon" in their names. FC Volyn Lutsk and FC Zakarpattia Uzhgorod, the two lowest teams in the league in 2005-06, were relegated to Ukrainian First Division.
As FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih was facing significant financial problems, the team was initially relegated from the Ukrainian Premier League, and a place in the top division was given to FC Volyn Lutsk.
FC Arsenal Kyiv is another team that has yet to prove their financial situation to the PFL, but it stays in the Premier League as for now.
