FSN Chicago was originally founded as on-air subscription-TV station Sportsvision by Jerry Reinsdorf, Eddie Einhorn, and Bill Wirtz (owners of Bulls/White Sox and Blackhawks respectively) and was sold to Cablevision in 1987.
FSN has often been the testing ground for the innovations that FOX comes up with graphically and the source of inspiration that other networks have for their graphics.
On June 26, 2006, FSN is scheduled to debut In Focus, which effectively replaces Beyond the Glory, a program in the vein of Biography and SportsCentury which ran from 2001 until early 2006.
