Fabric is a nightclub in central London, England, just next to Smithfields meat market. The club was opened in October 1999, at the peak of the dance music scene in London. It has 3 seperate rooms with independent sound systems. One of the novel features of the club is its vibrating floors. Known as a 'bodysonic' dancefloor, sections of the dancefloors are attached to the bass frequencies of the music being played, allowing clubbers to feel the music through their feet. Many well known club nights have moved to Fabric over the past years, tempted by the size of the venue, including Tyrant and Night of Tru Playaz. The club has also had practically all of the world's top DJs play, including Sasha, John Digweed, Juan Atkins, DJ Hype, Fabio, Grooverider, Adam Freeland, Dave Clarke - the list goes on. Unfortunately, some consider the club to be a victim of its own success, with many of the clientelle merely using the club as a late-night drinking venue. Some also think the venue has become a meat market. However, the majority of clubbers still consider Fabric to be one of the best clubs in London, and will no doubt continue to show support if the management continue to attract world reknown DJs and acts as it has in the past.
