Fannette Island is the only island in Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada, United States. It lies within Emerald Bay. The island contains what is left of "Tea House", a building built by the owner of Vikingsholm, Mrs. Lora Josephine Knight. Fannette Island, along with Vikingsholm and Emerald Bay, is a part of Emerald Bay State Park. It is accessible only by boat. Fannette is the only island to be found in all of Lake Tahoe.
It is believed that the island is a resistant rib of granite rock which was overridden by the glacial ice.
There may be as many as 100 geese on or near the island in the early spring.
