"Trial By Fire" 101 September 2, 2006 The four are on their way to a charity fundraiser. However, after destroying a strange robotic sentry, Johhny is soon teleported to a stadium with similiarities to a Roman Arena. Johnny is put on trial by the Kree and Ronan the Accuser acts as judge. Johnny quickly picks Reed as his respresentation. Later, Sue and The Thing are teleported as well, to act as character witnesses. Ronan reveals that the trial is motivated by Johnny's rash destruction of several robotic Kree sentries, or more accurately, every one to ever cross his path. Reed tries his best, but Johnny is sentenced to death. The team stand by him and whilst Ronan and two robotic lions act as executioners. However, when one of the robotic lions nearly attacks the statium's Kree audience, specifically a Kree child, Johnny fights to stop it. Afterwards, the Kree audience change their minds and cheer Johnny's name, much to Ronan's displeasure. The Supreme Intelligence then appears and agrees to a stay of execution, saying that the Fantastic Four may be useful against the Skrull. Back on earth, Johnny apologizes to the team and thanks them for saving his life.
"Doomed" 102 September 9, 2006 The four return to the Baxter Building after putting out a fire that Johnny apparently inadvertantly started. The four split up with Sue and Johnny going off to talk about making it up to her, while Reed and Ben remain in Reed's lab. Reed says he's making breakthroughs in returning Ben to his human form. After Ben leaves, a tiny robot that has been following the four then injects Reed with a green fluid. Reed wakes up to discover that his mind is trapped inside the body of Dr. Doom, whilst Doom has transferred his mind into Reed's body. Reed eventually escapes by guessing the code to remove Doom's mask and using the mask (which is lined with adamantium), to overload the energy shield imprisioning him. At the Baxter Building Doom is tampering with all of Reed inventions and, along the way, his relationships. First, he tells Ben he has better things to do than return him to his human form, yet still makes vaguely insulting comments about Ben's appearance. When approached by Johnny, Doom insults him in front of the T.V. crew following Johnny around as part of "A Day in the Life of the Fantastic Four" (Johnny's punishment from Sue). When approached by Sue, he says he's cancelling all of his (Reed's) lectures, and would rather spend more time with her. When Reed shows up, the alarms go off and he is engaged by the others. Reed chooses not to fight back and is eventually knocked ot by a stretched arm punch from Doom. With Reed imprisoned, Doom says he'll deal with "Doom" and takes Reed down to the power core. There, Doom initiates the overload sequence, telling Reed about his plan to destroy the Baxter Building and several city blocks by overloading the power core. The others then show up, puzzeled by Reed's odd behavior. Reed manages to convince Sue he's really Reed and they head for Reed's lab whilst Ben and Johnny are left to deal with Doom, who shows amazing prowess with Reeds elastic abilities. Reed manages to reverse the mind transfer process and uses Doom's calculations to miniaturize the power core to just before it explodes. Reed then says that Doom was beaten before this even started, explaining that he's seen Doom's true face and pities him. Furious, Doom escapes, zooming out through the ceiling and they let him go. Johnny then attempts to explain what happened to the confused TV crew. Later that night, as Sue and Reed discuss what happened, she tells him her first clue was Doom cancelling the lectures, but assures a near devastated Reed that she put them all back.
"Doomsday" 103 September 16, 2006 The four defeat a giant monster released from the Negative Zone during a fight between Johnny and Ben. News crews then approach them for comment on the shocking news that Reed wrote a paper in which he admits to intentionally lettting all be exposed to cosmic rays. Reed insists that he only wrote a paper discussing the theoretical effects of cosmic rays, and did so prior to the accident. Still, Johnny and Ben struggle with their doubts. Sue tries to talk it out with Johnny, whilst Ben goes to talk with Alicia Masters. Alicia helps lessen Ben's doubts, but they are soon attacked by Doombots, as are Johnny and Sue. Meanwhile, Reed realizes that Doom wrote and released the new paper. Just after this realization, Doom attacks. Back at Doom's lair, the others are trapped in specialized cells which can counteract their powers. Back at the Baxter building, Doom claims to have discovered the Negative Zone long before Reed and quickly accesses it through Reed's viewer. Creating a rift between the universes, Doom intends to have the whole city block pulled into the Negative Zone whilst Reed takes the blame. Still trapped in the lair, Sue reminds Johnny that he can heat things with his mind. Johnny then melts a hole into Ben's cell. After escaping, Ben frees Johnny and Sue, and they realize that Doom's behind it all, as they're in his lair. Ben then punches a hole into the ceiling and they hurry back to the Baxter building. There, a massive portal between worlds forms. The portal unleashes several large monsters, just like the one from earlier, into the city. As the others arrive to lend a hand, Reed manages to stablize the rift. Though eventually Doom gets away, Reed straps on a special gauntlet and stretches far enough to close the portal. As Reed passing out in relief, Ben catches him. When the press soon appear once again, asking if Reed is responsible for the chaos, Ben says Reed would never do such as thing. Reed then reveals that the report from earlier was false, created by Doom in order the spread doubt among the public, though diplomatic immunity may protect him. However, Reed still takes responsibility for the cosmic ray accident. Nevertheless, Ben dismisses Reed's concerns and tells him to forget it.
"Hard Knocks" 104 September 23, 2006 The four are in the living room of the Baxter Building. Ben is trying to barbaque some steaks, when Reed's BBQ's machine malfuntions. Johnny says that he and Susan are going to spy on Reed. Susan says that they are only going to peek. Johnny then comments on how Reed is visited by Bruce Banner who was immedately takes him to his lab and, is locked up. Sue then decides to spy on them but then Reed, flies out from his lab, knocked out by the Hulk. Ben attemps the take down the Hulk but both throw each other out the window, as Reed aweakens, Susan asks what happened in the lab. Reed tells Susan to help the others. Ben and Hulk fall through the sky, pummbling each other. They use throw various objects at each other, while causing damage to the city. Johnny tries to help Ben, but only makes the Hulk more angry. Reed and Susan appear. Reed attaches a inner ear jamming decive to the Hulk, causing him the calm down long enough for him to turn back into Banner. While they return to the Baxter Buliding, Reed explains how he and Banner met while in college. While Reed was interested in cosmic rays, Banner researched gamma radiation, beliving it could help cure any disease or medical problems. Unfortunately, one day Banner went a little too far and created the Hulk and explains the reason Banner came to him for help, was to find a cure to get rid of the Hulk, using the same cure he is trying to develop for Ben. While Reed explains, a group of soliders, led by Agent Pratt, are watching the four and Banner, hoping to capture him. Susan comments on while they trust Reed, he puts a lack of trust to them. Banner then awakens, demmanding the leave the buliding immeadately. Ben asks Banner about how he becomes the Hulk. Banner explains whenever he gets angry, the Hulk forms. Ben comments on how he has to deal with being a monster. Banner tells Ben how he, The Thing is a hero while the Hulk is the real monster. Just then the soliders break into the buliding. Reed tells Ben to hide Banner while, he and Johnny handle the soliders. Banner says he should leave, Ben replies he'll be protecting him, taking them to the undergound parking lot. Reed and Johnny deal with the soldiers until more re-enforments arrive. Underground, Ben is also captured, while the Agent Pratt captures Banner. The soliders round up Ben, Johnny, Reed and, Banner while,Pratt commments on the whereabouts of Susan. She appears, almost singlehandely taking out the soliders gaurding the others and Pratt. Reed, Johnny and Ben escape but, the helicopter contianing Banner tries to get away. Ben and Reed almost stop the helicopter from escaping. Reed says trying to help Banner alone was a mistake, while Ben says there mght be a way to track to the helicopter. Reed realizes there are traces of Banner's gamma readings, acting as a radar. the four then follow the helicopter, leading them to Soliders' base. Jets then shoot the plane. Reed goes after Banner with Ben behind him, while Johnny and Susan take out the jets. Reed and Ben free Banner but, Reed is soon attacked again. Ben tells Banner to change into the Hulk but Banner refuses, saying the Hulk is too dangerous and, that he needs to get angry to change. Ben then insults Banner but this fails. When Ben says Pratt is going to use the Hulk as a dangerous weapon on others, Banner transforms into the Hulk going after Ben. Seeing this Ben uses Hulk's anger to destroy the entire base. Hulk then sees Pratt and tries to kill him but is stopped by Ben, saying he would like to see a test of strenght between them in an arm wreslting match. The army shows up, while Pratt is taken by someone who looks like General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross .
"My Neighbor Was a Skrull" 105 September 30, 2006 The four are returning to the Baxter Building from their recent trip in space. Johnny comments how he though the trip would be more memorable. When Reed says everything is okay in scientific terms, Ben translates it to "Welcome Home." As they re-enter the earth's atmosphere, the four encounter some turbulance. When they land their space craft, they use the elevator disk to go downstairs. However, the disk drops them halfway off, causing them to fall off. Johnny "flames on", while everyone else continues to plummet. Reed attemps to stop it by catching it but fails. Ben and Reed hit the ground first, while Susan creates a force field, slowing the disk to a stop. As they recover, their door knocks. It is their neighbor, Courntey (from previous epsiodes) giving them a fruit basket and welcoming them home. After she leaves, "Courntey" sends a message to the Skrulls ship that everything is in place. Reed goes to his observatory deck, while Susan and Ben eat in the kitchen. Reed asks H.E.R.B.I.E. to check something but, he responds in Spanish. In the kitchen, Ben reaches in the refrigerator and eats his cheese. He then says it tastes like chicken. Susan turns on the faucet, only to have a purple liquid come out instead of water. Johnny answers the door, seeing the mailman. However, the mailman acts strange, bombarding him with questions about Susan and, her powers. While in the living room, Susan comments on the strange happenings in the buliding, when "Courtney" appears, asking questions about Reed. Susan takes her out the room. Ben goes the weight room, when H.E.R.B.I.E. attacks him. Alicia Masters stops by, in the middle of the attack but H.E.R.B.I.E. stops. Ben comments on how he's happy to see her but then, she also begins asking him strange questions on Reed. Still in the observatory, Reed then gives H.E.R.B.I.E. a command to access a sample in spanish but this time he malfunctions. Then another neighbor Ms. Monet, stops by, saying Ben let her in and starts questioning him about Johnny. He is almost injected by a Skrull sampler. Reed then calls everyone to the living room. He then has conversation with Ms. Monet about their last meeting, giving false facts to which she agrees. Skrulls assume their plan is going well. "Ms. Monet" then leaves. Reed then ask Susan to make the sky outside, invisble. Susan responds questiongly but does it. The sky does in fact turn invisble. Reed then figures out that they have been abducted by the Skrulls' ship, when the thought they re-entered earth's atmosphere. By watching them, the Skrulls were able to contruct a fake earth and duplicates on their friends and neighbors. Susan asks Ben to acompany her to vist "Courtney". While this happens, Reed tries to fix to access tunnels. Susan questions "Courtney" on how long its been since they last hung out, while her "husband" questions Ben. Ben can no longer tolterate the questions, then the Skrulls reveal their true forms, commenting to their officers that they have been found out. They manage to extract samples of Ben and Susan. They fight off their attackers but when they try to leave, Ben and Susan are confronted by more Skrulls. Reed and Johnny are by the access tunnels, when an alien-thing samples Johnny, scaring him. Reed then finds the others Susan messages him on the commlink saying the Skrulls have taken over the buliding. Johnny continues to panics. They are then captured and, Reed says the Skrulls have been analyzing them. Then numerous Doppelgangers of the four appear, confusing them. Johnny then says they can look like them, but not duplicate their powers. The four then fight the Skrulls. When "Susan" is captured by "Ben", Reed then attempts to help her but has been tricked. Getting the last genetic sample, a Skrulls asks Commander Klert to do with the four. He responds to kill them but the four defeat the remaining Skrulls. However, one escapes. To escape, Reed asks Susan to englarge a hole in the ceiling, damaging the ship. She does so and, the four escape in their ship, going after the Skrulls but they escapes. Upon returning home, Reed questions H.E.R.B.I.E., who no longer speaks spanish. The doorbell rings, with the real mailman. Johnny freaks out but when he receives his "hot rod" magazine, he calms down. Susan stops by the real Courtney, asking to hang out. Courtney says no, tells her to leave and slams the door in her face, all a relief to Susan. Reed notes the trouble the Skrulls went through to get the samples. On their ship, they tell Ronan the Accuser all samples have been collected for him to begin making the greatest warrior the universe has ever known.
