Geographical materialization

The first aspect of Hitler's unification rhetoric is the idea of geographical materialization – the idea of Munich as the place where all roads must lead – geography materializes ideology, a specific location tied to that idea where ideology is manifested (a holy land for the spiritual). A form of cognitive mapping. Munich: Frauenkirche and Town Hall steeple Munich (German: München pronunciation) is the state capital of the German Bundesland of Bavaria. ...

Common enemy

A second aspect is the idea of a common enemy. This is an evil symbol against which people must unite. This rhetoric is unifying the people against their common enemy rather that other significant issues. (The international Jew) All evils are related to the common rhetorical enemy. Simplifying processes to eliminate the complexities of war to magnify the enemy.

Parliamentary attacks

Features of Fascist unification rhetoric

Proto-Indo-European Indo-European studies The phrase Aryan race is sometimes used to translate Old Persian inscriptions and other Persian sources from c. ...

Projection devices

Projection devices are those scape-goating tactics used by fascists where internal problems become externalized. At a social level, the internal problems of Germany were externalized and represented by the "international Jew".

Symbolic rebirth

Symbolic rebirth rhetoric allows a people to identify with a new utopian society; when a scapegoat is eliminated a re-birth will occur where through the negative action of elimination one lays the groundwork of a positive goal of symbolic re-birth, where all ideals are met through the elimination of the "International Jew". See Utopia (disambiguation) for other meanings of this word Utopia, in its most common and general meaning, refers to a hypothetical perfect society. ...

Commercial use

Commercial use rhetoric was utilized when Hitler offered a non-economic interpretation of economic problems. He was able to sell his rhetoric to the class that benefits those economic issues (attacking the Jewish rich, instead of the rich). Hitler used a strategy of commercial use to make arguments against the so-called powers that be, while being able to maintain an alliance with that power structure. The underlying issues were not solved, yet Hitler gained power through these means. He portrayed himself as a rebel and aligned himself with the poor while at the same time not critiquing the rich so as to keep their support.

Unifying voice

The unification rhetoric leads to a unifying voice: the entire nation speaks as one person. This is the essence of the fascist ideal. The fascist idea of war is that everybody in society and every aspect of society is involved in the war effort and machine, so the society fights as one organism.
