Güímar is the name of a municipality, town, and valley in the eastern part of the Spanish island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, and part of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The municipality is located in the southeastern end of the island, and extends for 45.1 square kilometers (0.4 square miles) from the mountainous interior to the beaches on the Atlantic. Fasnia is on a valley setting. Its estimated population is 2,641. Fasnia is linked with the TF1 superhighway and has an interchange near and is also linked with the old highway linking Arona and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. is also a suburb of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and is one of the southernmost. Guía de Isora (a patrol vehicle), Fasnia and Vilaflor (a 4x4 apiece), and Güímar (a vehicle for collecting statements) were also among the 21 local authorities which signed an agreement with the Cabildo.
There were no complaints from the local authority, but the response was in stark contrast to Fasnia, a municipality with a small population and meagre resources.
Fasnia has been described as not one of the most attractive places for certain job-seekers, but, from the point of view of residents’ security, the Guardia Civil have been plugging the gaps.
