Buu is over five million years old, created in Dragon Ball's past by the wizard Bibidi in an attempt at universal domination. While powerful himself, Buu is also able to obtain a great deal of strength by absorbing others, adding his victims' physical or mental attributes to his own while taking on part of their aesthetic appearance. His body is unique in that it can alter its composition at will: rubbery and able to stretch, shift, and bounce back from attacks; liquefied or vaporous to regenerate damage; or independent of its main essence to be used as a weapon or to ambush a stray opponent. Buu is always hungry, using the magical properties of the tentacle atop his head to change living organisms into a variety of sweets. Although he is one of the most powerful entities in Dragon Ball Z, Buu is often playful and childish, revealing he destroys things for fun simply from old instructions from his master, stopping once told what he was doing was wrong. He literally struggles with the evil inside himself, with the latter winning and usurping near complete control, Buu becoming far more dangerous as a result. Like most of the Characters in Dragonball, Buu's name is part of a joke. When placed with his creator, Bibidi, and Bibidi's son, Babidi; it forms Bibidi Babidi Buu, the phrase used by the Fairy Godmother in Disney's Cinderella. In fairy tales, a fairy godmother is a fairy or person with magical powers who acts as a mentor or parent to someone. ...

Biography
Origin Many millennia prior to his appearance on Earth, Majin Buu was created by the evil wizard Bibidi for the sole purpose of Universal dominance. The monster that emerged from the experiment was a small, pink humanoid with a head-tentacle, no top, and white trousers: Majin Buu (known in this form as Kid Buu). Because of its wild nature, Majin Buu is uncontrollable even to Bibidi himself. Putting his plan into action, Bibidi and Buu travel to Planet Kaioshin, home of his sworn enemies, the Kaioshin (Supreme Kais of the Galaxy). The first Kaioshin to fall victim to Buu's wrath is West Kaioshin, who fights valiantly against the demon until she is ultimately defeated and killed by the merciless Buu. The next Kai to die is North Kaioshin, who also fights bravely against Buu and manages to slice one of his arms off, but Buu reveals his super-fast regeneration technique, and easily takes North Kaioshin down. The next target is South Kaioshin, the strongest of them all. South Kaioshin battles Buu and puts up a good fight against him. But Buu demonstrates his absorption technique and wins the battle by absrobing South Kaioshin and transforming into bulky version of himself: Mega Buu/Buff Buu. The next target is East Kaioshin, who proves to be no match whatsoever for Mega Buu. But just before Buu can land the final blow, Dai Kaioshin (Dai Kaio in the FUNimation dub) intervenes and battles Buu. But Buu uses his absorption technique and consumes the valiant Dai Kaioshin. Rather than transform into an even deadlier monster, the absorption results in an obese, childlike Buu who can now speak and whose power and evilness have greatly decreased due to Dai Kaioshin's good nature: Fat Buu. Because of this, Bibidi manages to keep Buu under his control by promising him daily sweets and cakes. East Kaioshin (FUNimations dub: Supreme Kai) is a fictional character in the popular Japanese Manga Dragon Ball and the anime Dragon Ball Z. Residing on the Sacred World of the Kais, East Kaioshin is the Supreme Ruler of the Eastern Quadrant of the Universe along with his best friends...
However, over the weeks, Buu slowly steers out of Bibidi's control, and Bibidi uses his magic to seal Buu in a magic ball, trapping him inside forever. On his way to Earth to bury the ball, Bibidi is attacked and killed by East Kaioshin, who goes along with the initial plan and buries the ball deep under the surface of the Earth.
Buu's resurface -
Thousands of years later, Buu is once again unleashed thanks to a plan made by Bibidi's evil son, Babidi, who also seeks to exterminate the Kaios and Kaioshin and bring the Universe under his control. Using the energy brought from his Majined cohorts, including the recently-created Majin Vegeta, the ball inside which Buu is contained is opened, and the dreaded Buu reappears right before the eyes of Gohan and East Kaioshin, who had earlier come to Earth with his bodyguard Kibito to warn the Z Warriors about Babidi and Buu. The Majin Buu Saga from the fictional anime Dragon Ball Z, deals with Majin Buus the emergence into Earth by the wizard Babidi, emergence of Rou Dai Kaiôshin (Elder Kai), the introduction of the Super Saiyan 3 transformation, and the fusion technique. ...

Majin Vegeta then performs a kamikaze attack in order to destroy Buu, and it seems to have worked, since Buu is blown to a million pieces. However, Buu's pieces combine to reform Majin Buu, who reappears just as Piccolo escapes the battlefield, where he was mourning Vegeta's death. Later, Buu and Babidi are confronted by Goku, who uses his Super Saiyan 3 technique to stall Buu long enough for Trunks to retrieve the Dragon Radar from Capsule Corp. After an even fight (in which Buu learns the Kamehameha wave), Goku, seeing that Buu isn't as evil as he seems, and Buu share some friendly compliments. Later on, after Buu returns from another killing spree with a hurt puppy, Mr. Satan explains that the puppy didn't run away because he was injured. Buu heals the puppy, but the puppy takes a liking to Buu and refuses to stop following him. Mr. Satan tells Buu that he is the puppy's new best friend, and this makes Buu a lot happier. Mr. Satan then manages to get Buu to reveal that he was only killing people because of orders from Bibidi and Babidi. Told that what he was doing was wrong, Buu vows to never again take another life, and then settles down to live a life of peace with Mr. Satan and the puppy, which Buu named Bee. However, Buu's new life is quickly shattered when he witnesses two thugs shoot Bee for no apparent reason. Buu starts to blow out steam from his ventilation holes in anger, but he calms down after seeing Mr. Satan beat the thugs up. Buu then manages to heal Bee at the last minute, and they resume their life of peace. Image File history File links 2_Buus1. ...

But the thugs don't give up there, and shoot Mr. Satan right in front of Buu's eyes. Although Buu is able to heal Mr. Satan in time, he finds himself torn between his desire for revenge and his promise. The frustration is so intense that Buu loses control and involuntarily excludes all the evil inside him in the form of a grey, skinny Buu: Evil Buu. The good Buu, now known as Fat Buu, watches in horror as Evil Buu mercilessly kills the two thugs. Horrified and enraged by his evil counterpart's actions, Fat Buu engages Evil Buu in combat, but since Evil Buu has the bulk of Buu's power, Fat Buu proves to be no match whatsoever for Evil Buu, who mercilessly beats Fat Buu up and even wins their Kamehameha duel. In a last ditch effort to destroy Evil Buu, Fat Buu fires a tentacle beam at him to turn him into an edible form. Unfortunately, Evil Buu merely blows it back, and Fat Buu is then transformed into a piece of chocolate, which is devoured by Evil Buu. With this new power, Evil Buu undergoes a horrible transformation obscured by pink smoke. The new Buu that appears is a tall, pink humanoid with no top, and white trousers: Super Buu. Super Buu then sees Mr. Satan, and moves in to kill him when he stops dead in his tracks, having the memories of Fat Buu. Super Buu merely speaks Mr. Satan's name, and sensing some new power levels, flies off towards Kami's Lookout.
Super Buu -
Arriving at Kami's Lookout, Super Buu finds the leftover warriors, and remembers Piccolo from before. He then demands to be presented with the promised fighter, despite being a day early. Piccolo begs Super Buu to give them another day, and to go back to killing the leftover people on Earth. But Super Buu displays his ruthlessness by using a genocide attack that kills every last human on Earth, except for Mr. Satan, and all those powerful enough to evade the blasts. Piccolo then reduces the time to an hour, and convinces Super Buu to accept by using Videl, Mr. Satan's daughter, as the one making the request. Buu reluctantly agrees, and sits impatiently by a hourglass Piccolo made. During this time, Chi-Chi slaps Buu, who then turns her into an egg and crushes her. However, after thirty minutes, Super Buu loses his patience and demands to be taken to the fighter. He is then led the long way to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber by Piccolo, where he finds Goten and Trunks, who fuse into Super Saiyan Gotenks via the fusion dance. However, Super Buu proves to be too much for Gotenks, and Piccolo destroys the entrance to the Time Chamber, trapping himself, Super Buu and Gotenks inside forever. But upon hearing that he will never eat candy again, Super Buu releases all his anger in a mighty scream, which rips a hole through the two dimensions. Escaping back to the Lookout, Super Buu wastes no time and turns everyone into chocolate, except Dende, who was thrown off by Mr. Popo in time. Later on, Super Buu is confronted by Piccolo and Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, who also escaped from the Time Chamber. Super Buu proves to be no match for Gotenks at this stage, but Gotenks merely toys with him until the fusion wears off and he turns back into Goten and Trunks. Super Buu then moves in for the kill when he is interrupted thanks to the timely intervention of Gohan, who has undergone the Mystic transformation with East Kaioshin and Rou Dai Kaioshin and is ready to battle Super Buu. An hour later, Super Buu is confronted by Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, Mr. Satan, Dende, and Bee. Super Buu uses taunting language to provoke Goten and Trunks into fusing into Gotenks, which they do. Seeing his chance, Super Buu wastes no time and uses his absorption technique to absorb Gotenks and Piccolo, and trasnform into a stronger and more intelligent version of himself wearing Gotenks' fusion vest: Super Buu w/Gotenks and Piccolo. Super Buu then resumes the battle against Gohan, and completely dominates him, beating him badly. Super Buu prepares to destroy the Earth but is stopped by the intervention of Tenshinhan, who is also beaten unconscious, but stalls long enough for Dende to heal Gohan. Super Buu then tries another attempt to destroy Earth, but is stopped once again, this time by a Kienzan fired from behind him by the revived Goku, thanks to Rou Dai Kaioshin giving his life. Goku then reveals his plan of a Potara Earring Fusion with Gohan, and throws an earring to him. Unfortunately, Gohan misses, and Goku is forced to hold off Super Buu as a Super Saiyan 3. But just as Gohan finds the earring, the Gotenks fusion inside Super Buu wears off, and he reverts to a Piccolo-clothed version of himself: Super Buu w/Piccolo. However, Super Buu plays a dirty trick and uses his severed tentacle from Goku's Kienzan to absorb Gohan from behind, transforming into the insanely powerful version of himself with Gohan's shirt: Super Buu w/Mystic Gohan. But just before Super Buu can kill Goku, Goku senses Vegeta's Ki from afar, and both he and Super Buu go to investigate. At first, Super Buu battles both Goku and Vegeta, since Vegeta's pride gets in the way of him fusing with Goku. But after some emotional blackmail, Vegeta finally accepts, and the two Saiyans fuse to create Super Buu's next opponent: Vegetto. Vegetto is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball manga and Dragon Ball Z anime. ...
Super Buu then battles Vegetto, who uses his new power to completely topple Super Buu. Horrified, Super Buu tries all sorts of attacks on Vegetto, each one just being brushed aside by the fused Saiyan. Super Buu even tries turning Vegetto into a jawbreaker with his tentacle beam, but Vegetto is still in complete control and even harder to fight, so Super Buu turns him back to normal. Eventually, Super Buu manages to win the battle by provoking Vegetto into coming nearer to him, just near enough for Super Buu to perform an absorption and absorb Vegetto, thus winning the battle. But what Super Buu doesn't know is the fact that this is what Vegetto was waiting for this the whole time.
The Innards of Buu Inside Super Buu, Vegetto, who used an energy barrier to shield himself from being completely absorbed, somehow defuses back to Goku and Vegeta, and the two Saiyans then explore Super Buu's body in order to complete their goal: that of finding the absorbed bodies of Goten, Trunks, Gohan and Piccolo. Eventually, after many escapades with Super Buu's digestive juices, Goku and Vegeta finally manage to make it to Super Buu's brain thanks to directions given to them by a pack of friendly enzimes. Inside Super Buu's brain, the Saiyans find what they were looking for, and immediately proceed to rip the pods containing their friends from Super Buu's brain. However, back on the outside, Super Buu realizes that he is somehow reverting back to his normal Super Buu state. Sensing something is wrong, Super Buu uses his own molding of himself to create a form of a minature Super Buu inside his own brain. Meanwhile, Goku and Vegeta find another pod containing noneother than Fat Buu! Reading Fat Buu's mind, Goku is able to learn of the events that occurred between Mr. Satan, Fat Buu, Bee and Evil Buu. Then, the thought form appears and engages the saiyans in combat, but since Goku and Vegeta are only at Super Saiyan 2, the find themselves no match for the invincible thought form of Super Buu. Just before the thought form can kill Goku, Vegeta blackmails him into stopping by threatening to remove the pod containing Fat Buu. Despite the thought form begging him otherwise, Vegeta rips the Fat Buu pod off, and the thought form disintegrates while Super Buu undergoes one last transformation. Goku and Vegeta then grab the pods with Trunks, Piccolo, Gohan and Goten and eventually manage to escape from Super Buu's body to witness Super Buu's transformation, unaware that they have forgotten the Fat Buu pod. Removing the Fat Buu pod has clensed Majin Buu of everyone inside him, including South and Dai Kaioshins. Thus, Majin Buu reverts to his original form, which seems to be a miniature version of the original Super Buu: Kid Buu.

But Kid Buu, having the advantage of perpetual strength, wins the battle over the exhausted Goku. Vegeta then steps in to buy Goku some time, but gets badly beaten by Kid Buu until Mr. Satan decides to stall Kid Buu for a while. Kid Buu moves in to kill Mr. Satan, but finds himself unable to do so due to having the memories of Fat Buu. His frustration ultimately leads him to spit out a small stone which explodes into an unconscious Fat Buu. Now with nothing to stop him, Kid Buu resumes the playfight with the enraged Mr. Satan, and goes to kill him when Fat Buu miraculously wakes up, and tells Kid Buu stubbornly that his battle is with him. Fat Buu and Kid Buu then engage oneanother in combat. The battle seems to be even at first, due to Fat Buu's increased strength, but Kid Buu is ultimately driven to the point that he fights at full power and completely dominates Fat Buu, who refuses to give up. Meanwhile, Goku and Vegeta hatch a plan to have Dende and the Kaioshins use the Namekian Dragon Balls to restore the Earth and revive all the good people who were killed since the World Martial Arts Tournament. Goku then prepares to create a spirit bomb, while Vegeta uses King Kai's telepathy to ask for the Earthlings' help, to which only their friends and family respond. Fat Buu and Kid Buu continue their battle, until Fat Buu is beaten so badly that he cannot fight any longer. But Mr. Satan steps in to stop Kid Buu, and Vegeta engages Kid Buu in battle in order to save Mr. Satan. Ultimately, Mr. Satan manages to convince the people of Earth to give up their energy, and the spirit bomb reaches completion. Unfortunately, Kid Buu stays near the battered Vegeta, stopping Goku from throwing the spirit bomb and firing small energy balls at Goku. However, Fat Buu wakes up, and smashes himself headfirst into Kid Buu, knocking him off Vegeta for Mr. Satan to carry off to safety. Although Fat Buu wishes to die along with Kid Buu, he is shot away by Kid Buu and seriously wounded. Now with an obstacle-free path, Goku takes his chance and throws the Spirit Bomb straight at Kid Buu, but Kid Buu is able to stop it and slowly pushes it back towards the exhausted Goku. Dende then uses the third wish with the Namekian Dragon to have all of Goku's strength be restored. Goku then overpowers Kid Buu with the spirit bomb, and the evil half of Majin Buu is vanquished forever. But with Kid Buu gone, the healed Vegeta angrily prepares to finish off the unconscious Fat Buu, not wanting to risk the creation of another Evil Buu through Fat Buu's anger, despite Mr. Satan begging him not to do so. But Goku believes that Fat Buu has redeemed himself and deserves to live the life of peace that he craved, and asks Dende to heal Fat Buu. Kibitoshin then uses his power to teleport Goku, Vegeta, Dende, Mr. Satan, Fat Buu, and Bee back to Earth, where they are given a warm welcome by their friends and family. In order to settle things for good with Fat Buu, Goku wishes for Shenron to erase all the Earthlings' memories of what Fat Buu had done while evil.

The following are the forms of Buu in the order they are first seen: Fat Buu - "Majin Buu (Good)"; "Mr. Buu"
Fat Buu (Buu w/ Dai Kaioshin) The first time viewers are introduced to Buu he is in this corpulent form, created through the absorption of Dai Kaiōshin. Rarely do his eyes ever open, and his body is adorned with yellow boots/gloves, a purplish-blue cape, a black vest, and white pants. He speaks in a childish manner and is the most naive of all the Buus, as he is shown to have little or no knowledge of anything around him, even by his own powers. Because he retains an element of evil, Buu is still a danger, because he has almost no sense of an independent mind, so he is easily sucseptable to doing whatever someone tells him to do, just like a young child. His power is controlled by his emotions, becoming a true threat when enraged. When Buu struggles with keeping his promise with Mr. Satan not to kill and a desire for revenge with those who wronged him, the internal conflict causes a second Buu to emerge. Evil Buu - "Majin Buu (Pure Evil)"
After Buu dispelled the evil from his body, the vapor gained this tall, emaciated form. Undiluted by Dai Kaiōshin, this Buu has the bulk of the original's power, and is a polar opposite of the "good" Buu in all aspects apart from apparel, including the color of his flesh (a drab grey) and gravelly manner of speech. The two Buus fight, with the evil incarnation gaining the upper hand and consuming "Good Buu" after reflecting an attack meant to turn him into chocolate. By consuming the Good Buu, the Evil Buu transformed into Super Buu. Image File history File links 240-11. ...

Super Buu - "Majin Buu (Evil)"
In this form Buu enjoys a large increase in power, as the good in him has been almost completely suppressed. Both his height and musculature increase, with his eyes turning full black, save for the irises which are in turn red and white. The gloves previous Buus once wore are eliminated and replaced with black armbands, complimented by a new set of boots that are black and gripped. Image File history File links SuperBuuB3. ...

He is easily irritated and impatient, entertaining himself by constantly cracking his neck with an insatiable desire to prove himself as the strongest fighter in existence. He first battles Gotenks, who is on even terms with him at Super Saiyan 3. Gotenks eventually defuses, but before Super Buu can press his advantage he is attacked by Gohan. Overwhelmed, Buu successfully schemes to absorb the power of Gotenks and steal the mind of Piccolo. Super Buu - "Majin Buu (Evil) + Piccolo/Gotenks"
Super Buu w/Gotenks and Piccolo In addition to Gotenks' strength, Buu's intelligence skyrockets and he now speaks with Piccolo's eloquence. He takes on human facial features, though his head tentacle is far longer than before, mimicing the exaggerated hair acquired at Super Saiyan 3. His short, stubby fingers become long, full-sized fingers. Because Gotenks is his main power source, Buu is dressed in the black and yellow vest unique to the Fusion Dance. Buu is able to adapt and customize his victims' attacks and techniques, and has the battle well in hand until the fusion between Goten and Trunks wears off. Image File history File links Buu010. ...

Super Buu - "Majin Buu (Evil) + Piccolo/Goten/Trunks"
A sub-version of his previous form, Buu loses much in the way of power while retaining intelligence, now wearing Piccolo's trademark cape (as the Namek is now his primary absorption). Fearful that Goku and Gohan would team up and destroy him, Buu uses a piece of tentacle that had been previously severed to absorb Gohan, adding another casualty to his dietary menu. Buu's power shoots to an unprecedented level, with his body going through yet more physical changes. He now wears Gohan's familiar orange gi; appearing more human as the tentacle atop his head increases in size and width. Buu is more confident and boastful than ever before, belittling attempts at stopping him by Goku and the newly arrived Vegeta until they fuse into Vegetto via the Potara earrings. Even by Buu’s standards Vegetto's power was astonishing, and an attempt at absorbing him only led to the Saiyans freeing Buu's previous victims, removing nearly all stolen mental/physical attributes and influences. Mega Buu - "Majin Buu + Southern Kaiōshin"
Mega Buu (Buu w/Southern Kaiōshin) Buu reverts to this form briefly in the midst of his final transformation. Seen briefly in a few panels of the manga and an anime flashback, the original Buu absorbs the Southern Kaiōshin, creating an incredibly muscular version of the creature. But after a second absorption of the plump and good-natured Dai Kaiōshin, Buu gains the deceptively harmless and child-like form first seen in the series. Image File history File links Buff_buu. ...

Kid Buu - "Chibi Buu"; "Majin Buu (Genuine/Pure)"
The original demon created by Bibidi. He is the smallest of the Buus, he is not only almost pure evil, but his rationality and sanity is practically non-existent, making him extremely dangerous to be around because of his destructively unpredictable nature. When he finds he can not harm Mr. Satan, Buu clutches his head in agony before spitting out his last remnant of good, (Fat/Good Buu), thus becoming what he originally was, pure evil. In the original Japanese version, Kid Buu only speaks in chirps and jibberish (except for exclaiming "You've had it!" on the Dai Kaio's planet), while the English dub gives him a wider vocabulary. He learns new techniques just by watching them, and destroys Earth and numerous other planets out of childish glee. Buu tracks down and injures Goku and Vegeta badly, causing the latter to muster a plan to destroy him by having Goku generate a Super Spirit Bomb. With the help of his friends and all the people they had met throughout Dragon Ball, Goku's attack succeeds and vanquishes the evil of Buu forever. This Buu has perhaps the most controversy surrounding him, as many fans debate whether or not he was more powerful than the other forms of Buu. - Buu fully engulfs and takes an opponent into his body to cause an increase in physical or mental prowess. Once there, the victim is miniaturized and stored for safe keeping. Unlike Cell, who took in life essence only through his tail, Buu can perform this technique with any part of his body, even a severed limb. When absorbing another being, Buu always takes qualities of their outward appearance as well. Buu displays his strength while Neko Majin's friend remains unsurprised and responds by saying that Neko Majin does stuff like that all the time (he also mentions how Neko Majin looks and acts simular to Buu). Buu leaves and tells Neko Majin's friend to call him to fight Neko Majin when he comes around. Later, Neko Majin's rival had stolen the source of his power, so Neko Majin's friend called Buu and told him that Neko Majin's rival was Neko Majin. Buu easily beats him and leaves very unfulfilled.
