Fat Admirers (or FAs) are people, usually male heterosexuals, who are sexually attracted to more heavy partners. In some countries the term chubby chaser is a synonym for this concept, in some the term refers specifically to gay men. Although some use this term to refer to anyone with a standard of beauty larger than that of the mainstream, others reject the "fat" component of the phrase as unhelpfully pejorative and inaccurate. Female FAs are referred to as FFAs. In the community a large woman is often referred to as a BBW (Big Beautiful Woman) and a large man as a Big Handsome Male (BHM). FAs can be fetishists, only being aroused if fat is involved, or just have a preference for a large partner, like a preference for red hair. For some FA fetishists being large themselves can be just as sexually appealing as having a large partner and can substitute a large partner. Many FA's consider popular culture as being dominated by a pro-thin bias, and many FAs are involved with the fat acceptance movement.
