Father of the Bride is a 1991 comedy film starring Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams, George Newbern, Martin Short, and Kieran Culkin. The movie's soundtrack was scored by Alan Silvestri and was influenced by Jazz and Christmas instrumentations. The Temptations (and their performance of "My Girl") joined up with several other groups and artists to add musical numbers to the movie as well. It is a remake of the 1950 movie of the same name. Plot George Banks (Steve Martin) is an ordinary, middle-class man whose 22-year-old daughter Annie (Kimberly Williams) has decided to marry a man (George Newbern) from an upper-class family. George can't think of what life would be like without his daughter and becomes slightly insane, although his wife (Diane Keaton) tries to make him happy for Annie. When the wedding takes place at their home, with a foreign wedding planner (Martin Short) taking over the ceremony, George must try to handle the fact that kids grow up.
