Fazul Abdullah Mohammed
Fazul Abdullah Mohammed

Fazul Abdullah Mohammed (Arabic: فازول عبدالله محمد) (born either August 25, 1972; December 25, 1974; or February 25, 1974 -- January 8, 2007) was a suspected member of Al Qaeda and sometimes purported to be the leader of Al Qaeda's East Africa cell. Mohammed is believed to have been a conspirator in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings, for which he was indicted in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Consequently, he was named on October 10, 2001 on the initial list of the FBI's top 22 Most Wanted Terrorists. He had once moved into the house of Egyptian Wadih el Hage (an early Brooklyn conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing), where he served as a secretary.
