Felix, Bishop of Urgel (or Urgell), was a religious figure who lived at the monastery Sant Sadureni de Tabernoles in the foothills of the Pyrenees.[1] Condemned by Alcuin at the Council of Frankfurt in 794[2] by the Imperial Carolingian court[3] for teaching Adoptionism theology. The Council determined that his scriptural interpretations were heretical.[4] He was driven into exile and died in Lyon[5] in 818.[6] Urgell is one of the historical Catalan counties, bordering on the counties of Pallars and Cerdanya. ...
