Feliz Navidad means "Merry Christmas" in Spanish (literally "Happy [or "Felicitous"] Nativity"). It is also spoken in the plural for emphasis, Felices Navidades. Christmas is a holiday observed in much of the world on 25 December, or on 7 January in most Eastern Orthodox Churches. ... Feliz Navidad is also the title of a popular 1968 Christmas song in both the United States and Latin America, a perennial favorite, composed and sung by José Feliciano. The 1995 re-release album cover of White Christmas A Christmas song is a song which is normally sung during the Christmas period, and usually has lyrical content addressing the holiday, the winter season, or both. ... "Feliz Navidad" is also released as a single and gets a tremendous amount of airplay over the holiday period but does not make the regular Billboard Top 100 singles list.
In late 1997 RCA re-releases "Feliz Navidad" and it peaks at #70 on the Billboard singles charts on 10 January 1998.
