Nanqiao is a major town in Fengxian district and makes a pleasant day trip from Shanghai. Of particular interest is Guhua Park which contains the "San Nu Temple" (three women temple). During the Zhou dynasty, the King of Wu's three daughters hung themselves rather than be caught by the King of Yue's soldiers. The town is easily navigable on foot, the people are friendly and there are plenty of restaurants.
