Fermin Cacho Ruiz was a Spanish athlete. He was the 1,500m Olympic Gold medalist at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. He then went on to win the Silver medal for the same event at the Atlanta Olympics four years later.

Fermín Cacho Ruiz (born February 16, 1969) is a Spanish athlete, winner of 1500 m at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
Although Cacho was the defending Olympic 1500 m champion, the final in Atlanta was considered to be a match race between Morceli and Hicham El Guerrouj, who had filled the first two places at the previous year's World Championships.
Cacho suffered an Achilles' tendon injury in 2000, and that caused him to miss the opportunity to add to his Olympic gold and silver medals at 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
