The film and soundtrack album of 1965 is one of the more uncommon artefacts of Merseybeat, shown very rarely on TV and never issued on video The title song is more famous nowadays and has charted twice. It was the first one to be shot on location in Liverpool after the city's emergence into the music mainstream which had seen only Frankie Vaughan and Billy Fury as stars, For authenticity many scenes were shot in clubs near Marsden's home and a scene on the river via an actual ferryboat showed the docks as a backdrop Marsden wrote 9 new songs for the film which also starred Cilla Black,Jimmy Saville and the Fourmost. The soundtrack album acted really as the 2nd Gerry & the Pacemakers one and also included music by the George Martin Orchestra. The CD reissue in a digipak consists of both the mono and stereo versions of the album.
