"Five days of ideal television, that is what the Fipa is. Lucid, independent and demanding glances, sensitive and revealing approaches of the current world, selected [from] . . . international production[s] over the past year. This festival, whose founders' principles are 'independence and quality,' [aims] to distinguish, develop and promote audio[-]visual works of creation, in a spirit of cooperation, in order to contribute to the evolution and the knowledge of the audio[-]visual language. It is an observatory which collects and compares the most elaborate demonstrations of the audio[-]visual language of all kinds, by a true and independent selection. The purpose of the Fipa is to encourage . . . the development [and evolution] of quality production[s] of television program[s] [throughout] the world."
NB: "La 4ème édition du fipa n'aura pas lieu en octobre mais en janvier 1991." (The fourth edition of the Fipa would not occur in October [as in previous years] but in January 1991.)
