In 2006 the Mean Fiddler Music Group reduced its touring and promotion activities to concentrate on running festivals. It maintained control the very successful Reading & Leeds festivals and announced a new addition - Latitude Festival. In 2007 the Mean Fiddler Music Group was renamed to Festival Republic and sold several venues to the Mama Group Plc in order to concentrate on promoting festivals. It still controls the London Astoria. As part of the sale, the Mama Group Plc has aquired the rights to the Mean Fiddler trademark.
