Fiat 147 was a three door hatch-back compact car produced in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, from 1976 until 1986 when it was replaced by the Fiat Uno. It was the first brazilian car that burnt ethanol, instead of gasoline in it´s engine. The performance slightly increased and fuel consuption was 30% higher but the cost of the alcohol was a quarter of the gasoline because, at that time, the petroleum was very expensive.
