Fielding is a town located in Box Elder County, Utah. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 448.

Geography

Fielding is located at 41°48'43" North, 112°7'2" West (41.811948, -112.117167)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²). 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 448 people, 139 households, and 119 families residing in the town. The population density is 393.1/km² (1,014.3/mi²). There are 142 housing units at an average density of 124.6/km² (321.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.77% White, 0.00% African American, 0.45% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.67% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. 2.23% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 139 households out of which 50.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.9% are married couples living together, 5.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 13.7% are non-families. 12.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.22 and the average family size is 3.48.

In the town the population is spread out with 36.4% under the age of 18, 10.9% from 18 to 24, 24.1% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 9.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 27 years. For every 100 females there are 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 102.1 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $44,000, and the median income for a family is $46,563. Males have a median income of $37,885 versus $22,708 for females. The per capita income for the town is $14,222. 0.9% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line.
