Greeley Fiesta 2001 will also consist of a community reception, complete with strolling mariachis for the public, a lowrider car show, mariachi Mass, golf tournament, 60-team softball tournament, Shubert show carnival, boxing smoker, youth essay contest and art display and a menudo breakfast.
The Fiesta Committee membership of more than 60 people have logged hundreds of hours of planning and organizing Greeley Fiesta 2001 in order to give the community the best cultural celebration event in northern Colorado for many years to come.

Having debuted three years ago with a collection of Latinized Kraftwerk songs he put together all by himself, the German DJ known as Senor Coconut wisely hired an actual conjunto ensemble for FiestaSongs.
But the goofy cover songs here -- including "Smoke on the Water" and "Beat It" -- don't stand up to repeated listens; you wonder if Coconut and Co. are destined only to entertain drunken businessmen waiting around for the next Jimmy Buffett show.
The traditional Latin songs on the album are less jokey, which makes you wonder what exactly the point is. Muy loco, to be sure, and also muy lightweight.
