Fight was a band assembled by Judas Priest frontman, Rob Halford, after his departure in 1992. He took with him from Judas Priest the drummer Scott Travis, who actually has not ever left the British band. The line-up was completed by Russ Parrish on guitar, Brian Tilse on guitar and keyboards and Jay Jay on bass guitar. Halford handled guitar duties as well. Rock band wins fight over use of name (212 words)
After 12 months, UK rock band The Rising, who hale from Lancashire, have won an out of court battle to keep their band name after it was used by another band, who are based in the south of England.
'This is a great breakthrough for the band as we have all worked hard over the last ten years plus that the band has been together, our name was officially registered from the start, so there was nothing to worry about really, however, it was a shock when it was discovered.
The band have recently played europes biggest music event called 'In The City', which is held in Manchester over a number of days and are tipped to play at Glastonbury 2005.
