Plot

At an American air base in England, 1943, is conniving Sergeant Dolan, who manipulates everyone, and insubordinate ace fighter pilot Major Ed Hardin. Kosciuszko Squadron is famous for claiming the highest number of enemy kills during the Battle of Britain of all fighter squadrons then in operation through September to October 1940[1].
In subsequent actions 303 Squadron achieved the highest number of claims for aircraft destroyed from amongst the 66 Allied fighter squadrons engaged in the Battle of Britain, even though it was late in joining combat, starting 2 months after the battle had begun.

35th Fighter Squadron [35th FS] (767 words)
The squadron was redesignated as the 35th Pursuit Squadron (Fighter) on 6 December 1939; the 35th Pursuit Squadron (Interceptor) on 12 March 1941; the 35th Fighter Squadron on 15 May 1942; the 35th Fighter Squadron, Two Engine, on 19 February 1944.
The squadron, while stationned in Japan, was redesignated as the 35th Fighter Squadron, Single Engine, on 8 January 1946, converting to the P(laterF)-51; as the 35th Fighter Squadron, Jet, on 1 January 1950; and the 35th Fighter-Bomber Squadron on 20 January 1950.
The squadron transitioned to the F-4 in 1967.
