An early routing of Figueroa Street near downtown Los Angeles was part of U.S. Highway 66, today a part of the Pasadena Freeway. Fast food restaurants on Figueroa Street, which are open late on the weekends, have become a hangout spot for local teenagers and for the use of nitrous oxide.
