Foundation of the Hellenic World - News (271 words)
On Wednesday 13 June 2001, at the "Filothei" cinema, the Mayor of Filothei Mrs Eleni Taradinou-Panagiotopoulou and the City Council organised an evening dedicated to the work and the activities of the Foundation of the Hellenic World.
Then, the Medal of Honor and Charity of the Municipality of Filothei was awarded to Mr Lazaros Efraimoglou, the President and founder of the Foundation of the Hellenic World.
The award was made by the Mayor of Filothei, who presented Mr Efraimoglou with a sculpture by Mrs Liana Vassalou, which represented a tree, symbolising thus the continuous effort of Filothei to remain a city full of trees.
