Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior is the name of a Warhammer 40,000 computer game available for the PlayStation 2 and PC.


The game is a first person shooter, where the player takes the role of a Tau Fire Warrior, Kais, defending his race against the aggressive Human Empire.


This game introduced the Tau Rail Rifle and Orca Dropship to the Warhammer 40,000 universe, which both of them become part of Tau Armoury after that.



Weapons available to a player of the game include: (Tau) Sword Pulse Rife Pulse Carbine Burst Cannon Rail Rifle (Human) Lasgun Laspistol Autogun Sniper Rifle Shotgun Bolter Plasma Gun Plasma Pistol Missile Launcher Meltagun (Chaos) Chaos Bolter


In addition, the player is armed with grenades, and can use pintle mounted laser cannons or projectile machine guns.

This does of course mean war, and you as a fledgling Tau Fire Warrior are quickly drafted in to aid in the effort and resist the oppressive Imperial grip.
Fire Warrior's production values are all over the place, with some fabulous FMV getting my hopes up high, only to come crashing down again an hour into the game when I get hooked on the scenery, unable to move again until I restarted from the last checkpoint.
Fire Warrior doesn't last particularly long either, with only a couple of days' worth of casual play in it assuming you can be bothered to even play for that long.
