Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 564 people, 192 households, and 139 families residing in the village. The population density is 725.9/km˛ (1,852.5/mi˛). There are 200 housing units at an average density of 257.4/km˛ (656.9/mi˛). The racial makeup of the village is 98.76% White, 0.18% African American, 0.35% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.18% from other races, and 0.35% from two or more races. 0.18% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 192 households out of which 41.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.6% are married couples living together, 6.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.1% are non-families. 22.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.67 and the average family size is 3.15.
