Encyclopedia > Flag of Nakhchivan
Flag of Azerbaijan presently used as the flag of Nakhchivan. Flag Ratio: 1:2

The flag of Nakhchivan is officially that of Azerbaijan. However, another flag was used in 1991 by separatist groups in Nakhchivan during the breakup of the former Soviet Union. While similar to the flag of Azerbaijan, it uses yellow in one of its stripes and in the star and crescent. The status of this flag has been unofficial since 1993.
