Flagler Beach is a city in Flagler County, Florida, United States. The population was 4,954 at the 2000 census. As of the census^GR2 of 2000, there were 4,954 people, 2,535 households, and 1,493 families residing in the city. The population density was 519.8/km² (1,345.1/mi²). There were 3,224 housing units at an average density of 338.3/km² (875.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.86% White, 0.52% African American, 0.22% Native American, 0.57% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.14% from other races, and 0.67% from two or more races. There were 2,535 households out of which 12.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.6% were married couples living together, 6.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.1% were non-families. 33.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. Flagler Beach was also a city for the sting operation "To Catch A Predator". This was a very contraversal desicion in the city due to parents being worried about kids saftly with Predators being captured only a few blocks away from their homes.

Once the sting was completed, approximately 99% of the citizens were satisfied with the job well done by the Flagler Beach Police Department who have now started to get convictions for these arrests.
