Flake is a community in the Ontario city of Greater Sudbury.


For postal delivery and telephone exchange purposes, addresses in Flake are considered part of Val Caron.


From 1973 to 2000, Flake was part of the town of Valley East, in the Regional Municipality of Sudbury. On January 1, 2001, the Regional Municipality was dissolved into the single-tier City of Greater Sudbury.

In land area, it is now the largest city in Ontario and is the largest city in Canada outside of Quebec.
