The interface is implemented on most modern flat-panel monitors and TVs, but not all.


The screws typically used for FDMI mounts are M4 metric machine screws, often 1cm in length depending on the mount. Appropriate fasteners are often supplied with the mount rather than with the display. If appropriate fasteners are not supplied with either device they may be obtained at many hardware stores thanks to the standardization of screw threads.
