In the fictional universe of Star Trek, Fleet Admiral is the highest commissioned rank of the Starfleet. As early as Star Trek: The Original Series, "Fleet Admiral" was used as a generic title to describe any Admiral of Starfleet, though it did not make an appearance until the second season of the series. Prior to this, the exact same post was refered to as "Fleet Captain." (For example, Captain Chris Pike left the Enterprise to become "Fleet Captain" shortly before Kirk took command) However, it was not until Star Trek III: The Search for Spock that an actual Fleet Admiral was seen on camera. Fleet Admiral Morrow, played by actor Robert Hooks, was the first Fleet Admiral of Star Trek to actually be seen by the viewing audience. The insignia for an Imperial Fleet Admiral is six blue and red squares in a rectangle design. High Admirals use the same rank badge, but only wear one code cylinder while Fleet Admirals wear two.

An old style insignia for Fleet Admiral, used during the time of the first Death Star, comprised a single line of six red squares with three code cylinders. Fleet Admiral Morrow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (376 words)
Fleet Admiral Morrow is a character in the fictional universe of Star Trek who makes an appearance as the Commander-in-Chief of Starfleet circa 2285.
Portrayed by actor Robert Hooks, Fleet Admiral Morrow can be seen in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock welcoming back the crew of the USS Enterprise and later cautioning Admiral James T. Kirk from attempting to return to the Genesis Planet.
Fleet Admiral Morrow made no further appearances in Star Trek films, as his role is seemingly taken by another Starfleet Admiral, Fleet Admiral Cartwright in subsequent Star Trek features.
